Vine-stoppers (カチトマリ, Kachitomari) are a type of plant creature with various subspecies that are featured in Made in Abyss Binary Star Falling into Darkness.[1]
Description[]
A plant that shoots out seeds similar to cannonballs. The seeds fragment wherever they land, making it highly dangerous.[1]
There are many variants found in each layer, including some which are reported to launch highly poisonous seeds.[1]
They got their name because when encountered, Cave Raiders were often stopped in their tracks. They are also known as "Time-wasters."[1]
The standard variant is found in the 1st Layer and 2nd Layer of The Abyss. The Akatsutsuso and Aotsutsuso variants are found in the 2nd Layer and 4th Layer of The Abyss.[1]
Being hit by either of the variant's attacks may induce a poison status ailment: the Akatsutsuso causes the Red Poison status, while the Aotsutsuso causes the Blue Poison status.[1]
They are entirely stationary, but their attack has a long range.[1]
