SPOILER WARNING!

| Information |
Unknown Creatures are species that only had brief cameos in the anime or manga, and without any detailed information of them.[1] The displayed creatures often appear to be reptilians, birds, sea creatures, as well as airborne creatures.[2] Some creature names have been revealed, but most remain unnamed.
Creatures[]
A small squirrel-like rodent can be seen on Reg's collar in the opening to the first season of the anime.[3]
In the opening sequence of Journey's Dawn, a massive insect with large jaws, named an Onitachikiri, is shown attacking the first delvers of the Abyss.[4] A related specimen named Kagitachikiri was described in previous maps of the Abyss.[5][6]
Lyza's Notes depict various unknown creatures, including a creature with hook-like tusks and appendages, a strangely-shaped creature with many long curling appendages, and a creature which can unfurl its face into a large elephant-like trunk.[7]
A Namekagashi, a long lizard-like creature, is seen crawling along as Riko and Reg pass across the boarded path leading towards Seeker Camp.[8]
At Seeker Camp, Riko encounters a creature made of meat which Ozen brought to life using the Curse-Warding Box.[9]
A creature with a slimy appearance, named a Jinokinoabura, is seen crawling up a tree as Riko and Reg begin their survival training on the 2nd Layer.[2]
Nanachi posits a hypothetical future wherein Mitty is shown being eaten by multiple creatures with clam-like mouths.[10]
Reg is seen wrangling a large squid-like creature for the procurement of water-repellent materials on the 4th Layer.[11]
When swimming through the waters beneath Ido Front, Reg uses a Sun Sphere to distract a multitude of aquatic creatures; one is shown with a tongue-like proboscis which extends outwards.[12]
A massive aquatic creature with a rotund body, named an Iidūsan, is seen passing by the Altar during the descent to the 6th Layer.[13]
Riko attempts to send a Mail Balloon up from the 6th Layer; however, as it ascends, a large airborne creature suddenly snatches it, appearing to twist its body as it attacks and unfurling itself as it flies away.[14]
A large round creature is seen tied up and hanging from ropes in The Village of Iruburu as Majikaja leads Riko's Party to Iruburu's Market of Value.[15]
Gaburoon protects Reg from various creatures on the way back to Iruburu, such as one creature with a giant mouth which splits its head in half when open.[16]
One of the Interference Units the Ganja first meet is eaten by a massive tentacled creature with multiple mouths. This creature is thought to be of the genus Honmurodouko, a similar creature found in the upper layers; however, it's only as big as a rope, so they're likely two different species altogether.[17][18]
In her childhood, Vueko found a small fox-like creature as a pet, but it's assumed to have been killed by her guardian.[19]
Ganja are seen hunting various creatures to survive on the 6th Layer, including a large four-legged creature with a long tail and a bloated creature with a large mouth.[20]
Small rodents appear near Faputa following her rampage in Iruburu until one is suddenly snatched up by a flying creature.[21]
Various creatures invade Iruburu once its barrier is broken, including small mammals with triangle-shaped heads, a large creature with no head and only a mouth at the end of its long neck, and a large creature with a plated head and short forelegs.[22]
While Faputa and Reg are hunting a Sicklehorn, a massive creature with a globular head and many long legs appears and steals the majority of their kill.[23]
Riko mentions that the place Reg and Nishagora fight on resembles the egg-laying grounds of a creature called Oofuragou, due to the spikes surrounding the area.[24]
Upon entering the 7th Layer small rodents with what appear to be masks on their faces are seen alongside Neritantan.[25]
Small frog-like creatures can be seen swimming through a floating sizzling current with vastly different temperature to the outside climate.[26]
Flying creatures with leathery wings dive in to attack the group, but Srajo kills them with her weapon. Reg later sees one of the creature's dead body, which seems to have a different appearance from before, with large claws and many protrusions throughout its seemingly furry body.[27]
