Sparagmos (枢機へ還す光 (スパラグモス) , Sparagmos, Essence-Returning Light^?) is one of Bondrewd's personal Artifacts.

Description

It is a processed Artifact, similar to Reg's Incinerator, that generates a mysterious blade of light. Whatever it hits is permanently destroyed, as seen with Mitty's left eye. Nanachi describes the effect as though its target disappears from having come "unraveled".

According to Srajo, the source Artifact of Sparagmos did not exist in the 5^th Layer, and Bondrewd only began using this relic after sightings of the "Girl-type" in the 5^th Layer.

Trivia

• According to Nanachi, Sparagmos has never been put on auction and Bondrewd apparently named it himself.
• Sparagmos is an ancient Dionysian ritual of cutting apart and dismembering a sacrifice to be offered to the gods. This was frequently followed by omophagia, the eating of the raw flesh of the dismembered, by the Maenads (followers of Dionysus), leaving no trace of the sacrifice's existence, very much like this Artifact's power.
