Simred (シムレド, Shimuredo) is a Black Whistle Delver and a member of Ozen's delver squad, the Subterranean Bandits.

Appearance

Simred has messy, dark grayish hair and eye bags. He wears an dark blue muffler above a gray jacket.

Personality

Due to his brief appearance, not much of his character traits are shown, but he seems kind, devoted to Ozen and cares for Marulk.

History

Pre-Orth Arc

After Yelme had managed to steal objects out of Cravagli's pocket, he notes that Tepaste had a really keen eye and that Cravagli also didn't give him much room to work with, which caused him to only be able to steal a few scraps. Zapo notes Cravagli to be a genius solo delver, picking up a note Yelme managed to steal. Neither Simred nor Yelme can make sense of the note, reading "Faraway Nest". Zapo is surprised to learn that they are unfamiliar with such a thing.

Fourteen days later, in surface time, in the lowest point of the Inverted Forest, the Forward Expedition Party arrives at the Joint Delving Site. Party members include: Hablog as Delve General Leader of the project, Simred as Forward Expedition Party Leader, and Gallice as Lead Strategist.

At the entrance to the site, Simred questions whether the opening had been made naturally or not. Hablog notes that the site remains unexplored by Delvers and that even the scholars are said to be excited about the expedition. Gallice states that whoever opened the area must have known about the Artifacts within.

As Hablog surveys the entrance, he remarks at the many Storage Vessels, Second Grade Artifacts. He further notes that something of this scale will surely go down in Delver history and that they will need a lot of man power and several weeks to recover everything, in addition routes that must be secured. Gallice factors that it may take at least three months, in surface time.

Hablog inquires Simred about the situation of the lookouts and Simred tells him they have one of the Seeker Camp's big telescopes set on the location. Hablog observes that there are no Special Grade Relics, as far as he can tell, and Gallice remarks that if there had been any that they were likely taken by whomever had first accessed the site.

Gallice draws attention to a Mysterious Object, noting "fresh marks" and a "parting gift" left behind. Hablog urgently instructs Simred to have Seeker Camp activate a high-luminance Glowstone on the site and requests judgement from Ozen on whether or not the area must be restricted.

Seeker Camp Arc

Marulk goes to get Simred and the other Subterranean Bandits during the fight between Ozen and Reg, in hopes they can help to stop their fight.

After Reg regains consciousness, Simred and the other Subterranean Bandits inform him of what happened after he had passed out, and that Ozen was only testing them to judge if Riko and Reg are ready to hold their own in the next layers.

During Riko and Reg's training, Simred and the other Subterranean Bandits keep an eye on them and report their progress to Ozen.

When Riko and Reg leave the Seeker Camp, he sees them off with the other Bandits.
