The Seeker Camp (
It is located far from the center of The Abyss. Because The Curse of the Abyss is weaker here, it serves as a place for Delvers to rest and prepare for the descent into the 3rd Layer.[2][3]
It was built from a particularly large tree in the Inverted Forest, called the Great Tree of Porta (ポルタの
Though only speculation, it is thought that the roots of the tree extend all the way to the sea, providing it with nutrients that have accumulated on the seafloor to grow large, despite the limited amount of light coming from The Force Field at that distance away from the central shaft of The Abyss.[4][5]
It is currently a base for the White Whistle Delver Ozen and her team of Delvers, the Subterranean Bandits.[6]
Trivia
- With Ozen's observation and Marulk's help, it is here that Reg and Riko train and hone their delving skills to survive the lower layers.[7]
- Reg and Riko learn about Riko's origin and how to strategically make use of Reg's Incinerator.[8][9]
- The Seeker Camp is equipped with Glowstone lanterns which can be set to emit a high output if a lot of luminance is needed.[10]
