Sainona (サイノナ) is an herb native to The Abyss. It bruises easily, so only delvers can enjoy it at its freshest.[1]

The more it is chopped, the stronger it smells. There is an ideal chopping method for each dish it is used in. It's bitter when overcooked.[2]
Riko's discovery of Sainona in the 6th Layer represents the first time it has been found there.[1]
It is a key component of Riko Soup and Riko Meat Stew.
