Information |
The Mountain-spinner (ヤママワシ, Yamamawashi) is a creature featured in Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness.[1]
Description[]
Mountain-spinners are creatures that look like a rock and they live in holes of the 3rd Layer.[1]
They are covered with rock-like scales and a shell, but the area between their lower jaw and neck has exposed skin that’s relatively soft.[2]
They remain so still that moss grows over their bodies and thus Delvers often don't notice them.[1]
Mountain-spinners compress inhaled air and store it in their bodies, blowing it out beneath their feet to propel themselves like a top.[2]
Its ability to store and propel air was originally used underwater to dig through the seafloor, as well as to destroy obstacles to find food.[2]
