Faputa prepares to create a beast repellant from a pair of Dread-Owles and Gaburoon asks her why she doesn't approach Reg directly. Flustered, she jabs Gaburoon. This short story was adapted to Season 2 Episode 12: Gold.

Trivia[]
- The bird featured on the back cover is the one Nanachi and Mitty are said to have heard during their descent to Ido Front.[1] In reality, no such bird exists, serving only as a symbol of their friendship.[2]
