Value (
Synopsis[]
With Reg knocked out, Faputa carries him back and instructs Juroimoh to hold him down so he can't interfere if he wakes up. Turning to Riko, Faputa blames her for Reg having forgotten about her. Vueko, scared for Riko's safety tells Wazukyan to let her go, but he informs her she would just get killed if she were to try to help. The villagers try to protect Riko, but Faputa is too fast for them and launches an attack against Riko.[1]
However, before it connects, Gaburoon blocks Faputa's attack, destroying the Interference Unit's right arm. In shock, Faputa questions why they protected Riko and Gaburoon replies that she would have lost Reg forever if she were to hurt Riko; thus protecting Faputa's future. Gaburoon then shuts off from the damage.[2]
The now conflicted Faputa reaffirms to herself she has no way of stopping now, for the villagers had deceived her mother. However, before she can start her next rampage, Faputa is knocked back by an unseen force. As she angrily looks around, she spots Belaf and Nanachi who both have arrived on the scene; much to the relief of Wazukyan.[3]
After quipping about Faputa's lack of manners, Nanachi asks Riko to leave it to them; Belaf advances towards Faputa. Faputa notices that the smell of her mother is strong on Belaf and decides to kill him first. As Faputa starts tearing through Belaf, he confesses about a gift for Faputa, something Irumyuui didn't take from him no matter how much he begged for her to take everything from him, as he understands now that it was intended for her.[4]
Faputa shatters Belaf's head apart and receives his "gift"; a smoke-like mist of the feelings and memories he held of Ganja's past. Belaf thanks Faputa for being with him in his final moments and tells her she will have to decide her own Value during end of her destiny and encourages her to move forward without fear as he wants her to continue her adventure. Afterwards, Belaf passes away.[5]
Faputa becomes paralyzed by the memories and Nanachi instructs the villagers to take Riko and escape underground, due to the village barrier being broken, while they will try to wake up Reg they get a glimpse of Wazukyan and theorize he might have hoped for a scenario in which Faputa had given a Cradle of Desire to Reg to be used on Riko to create a mobile village with Riko as a base.[6]
Meanwhile, Vueko is saddened by what happened to Belaf but Wazukyan is relieved as Belaf has shared his feelings with Faputa, and thus Faputa most likely wouldn't kill Vueko now; though he assumes he would be in real trouble now. Wazukyan apologizes to Vueko before wrapping her in the rest of his body and leaping down with her.[7]
Faputa, distraught by Belaf's parting gift, tries to reaffirm again that she is the fire that will burn everything to cinders even after what she just witnessed but has exceedingly more trouble in doing so than before. Then, Hermit-Dwellers show up next to her feet reminding her of the one she saw in the memories. Faputa tells them to get away as it is dangerous but one is quickly snatched up by an unknown avian creature and both her and Nanachi realize that creatures have made it inside the village; a Turbinid-Dragon making its way inside.[8]
As the creatures make their way inside the village, they start attacking the shocked villagers. Moogie, seeing how their fellow villagers are decimated and shaken by the events unfolding, says that it is over for them and all will come to an end now. She is pulled out of her shock by Maaa who carries the unconscious Riko, remembering her promise to save Riko.[9]
Faputa witnesses the creatures killing the villagers and becomes upset that they are taking away her duty to destroy the village and eliminate the villagers, attacking them. The creatures begin attacking her as well and she starts getting more and more beaten up until a creature spits her out. As the villagers watch Faputa fight the creatures, getting more and more hurt, they question why they care for her well-being, even though she is trying to kill them.[10]
As Faputa is getting ravaged by multiple creatures, she is saved by her siblings, Io, Kati, and Togii, until a Turbinid-Dragon disposes of them. Faputa is unable to move properly and the Turbinid-Dragon tries to strike her but is interrupted by a shot from Gaburoon's broken arm.[11]
Faputa turns to Gaburoon, who apologizes for not having been able to protect her; Faputa tells Gaburoon to move. As Gaburoon is being stomped by the Turbinid-Dragon, they express the regret of not being able to learn the reason why Faputa was able to find something irreplaceable and name it "Haku" even after harboring a thirst for revenge. Gaburoon tells her the days they spent together were their precious "Haku" just before the Turbinid-Dragon crushed them with its leg and destroy them completely.[12]
Faputa is once again being devoured by various creatures until the Turbinid-Dragon catapults her out with a spit; she then wakes up by the side of some villagers who begin to sacrifice themselves to her, letting her recover like her siblings did. Faputa reflects on her duty and whatever Value may lie ahead after having accomplished her duty.[13]
One of the invading creatures notices the villagers gathered with Faputa and takes a bite out of one; Faputa snatches back the villager, together with the head of the creature, and lets out a howl. She decides she will learn of Value herself.[14]
