Synopsis[]

At Camp Number 5, Reg is bathed by members of Hail Hex, following his battle with Nishagora. Team Riko and the members of Hail Hex then attempt to introduce themselves to one another.

To overcome Nanachi's hesitancy, the leader of Hail Hex, Srajo, gives a brief but ominous explanation of Juusou and her motivations.

Inviting Riko and company to observe the entrance to the 7th Layer, Srajo reveals the true nature of The Song of Hariyomari: the song originates from a set of sealed envelopes believed to have come from the 7th Layer, authored by The Priestess and a Delver collaborator. She also calls into question Riko's understanding of the 7th Layer's Curse, explaining that the only record of that particular Curse was written about in the letters.

Feeling more at ease, Team Riko re-attempts to make a more formal acquaintance with their hosts. Tepaste and Reg are then tasked with supervising Sherumi and Menae while they bathe. Nanachi is able to eavesdrop on a comment being made to Srajo and the two parties discuss the Human-like Silhouette documented in Lyza's notes.

Srajo feels confident that Reg is not the same figure as shown in Lyza's writings, noting that the mysterious being may in fact be female. Srajo then discusses this "Girl-type" and the connection it may have to Bondrewd's relic, Sparagmos. This exchange also prompts questions about Meinya's origin. Srajo believing the creature to be an attempt by Bondrewd to artificially create Juusou.

Meanwhile, Tepaste takes her opportunity to interrogate Reg about his Gentle Knock, Mermaid Burp, and her companion Cravagli. After having confirmed Cravagli's fate, the two are then called back to the bath by Sherumi and Menae.

The twins are revealed to be limbless, with inhuman features. They forebodingly reveal that Team Riko may yet share a similar fate.
