The Human-like Silhouette (ヒトガタの影 (かげ) , Hitogata no Kage), or Girl-type (少 (しょう) 女 (じょ) 型 (がた) , Shōjo-gata), is a figure resembling Reg, first described in one of Lyza's notes.

Appearance

The Human-like Silhouette resembles Reg, in stature and form, wears a cape and a horned-helmet with a central display. However, the two have elements which distinguish them from one another.

Unlike Reg, their helmet is symmetrical. Its central display is large and centered with a huge dent on the side. In Lyza's doodles, their cape appears to be decorated with armor-like pads, with the ends of their cape being frayed. Their collar, unlike Reg's, is placed where the handle comes right below the collar's cavity. The Silhouette has no visible hands. Instead, they have prominent claws. Their hair appears to be quite long.

According to Srajo, sightings of the unknown figure predating Lyza's suggest this being may have had a high-pitched voice and breasts. Because of this, it became known as "Girl-type". During a flashback that Reg experiences in the 7^th Layer, Reg sees a vision of her with a brightly colored helmet and dark skin, much like his appearance in his White Whistle activated form.

Personality

According to the description in Lyza's Notes, they act reserved and are observant of her, up to the moment Lyza calls out to them.

History

Ido Front Arc

Not much is known of the Girl-Type's past. When Reg overcharges with electricity from Ido Front and loses control, he describes being possessed by a number of people. Two figures come to Reg's mind: Lyza and the Girl Type. In the movie adaption, a vision of the Silhouette appears while Reg is in his overcharged state. A subsequently enraged and provoked Reg attacks Bondrewd.

Curse Fleet Arc

Srajo posits to the group that the "Human-looking Silhouette", AKA "Girl-type", was seen near Ido Front in the recent past, though the news has been kept hidden.

It is later revealed that Reg is the older brother of the "Girl-type" and that they had previously engaged in battle in the 7^th Layer.

Abilities

Lyza points out that, while running away from her, it could jump with such a huge strength that it astonished her, making her question whether the figure was really human.

Glowing Claws

Nether Glyphs on Lyza's letter indicate that her claws may "glow". Large defacements can be seen in the 7^th Layer, which are implied to have been left behind by her during her battle with Reg.

Extendable Arms

She appears to have arms capable of extending, much like Reg's arms.

Trivia

• Documentation of this figure may represent a rare instance of an Aubade being recorded by the Delver Guild HQ, knowingly or not.
• Bondrewd refers to Reg as being a "Boy-type" and an "unprecedented specimen". This suggests that he may have had some familiarity with similar beings, such as the "Girl-type".
