The Horncrier (ツノナキ, Tsunonaki) is a creature featured in Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness.[1]
Description[]
The head of Horncriers are covered in horns. They have no eyes and their ears are infused to their horns and the nostrils often are mistaken for eyes. Much of their horns are hollow, and by breathing through their nostrils they create a special sound.[1]
They use the echo from their horns to survey their surroundings, so they remain dormant during rainy days. Their tail is also unnecessarily long causing it to drag behind them.[1]
Their subspecies uses their horns and legs to gore an opponent. Their powerful hind legs kick at those who circle around them. Their horns are actually also their weak point, so frontal attacks to their heads are highly effective.[2]
