Gyottsi (ギョッツィ) is a member of Under Nest, serving The Priestess alongside Tepaste.

Appearance

Gyottsi wears a helmet that covers the upper forehead to the back of the head. He has short hair with thick bangs which obscure his eyes. He dresses in loose-fitting fatigues, a cloak, and combat boots. Underneath his cloak is a belt for holding gear. He appears to have small horns atop his head.

Personality

Gyottsi is foul-mouthed and can be seen making erratic outbursts. He has a tendency to use metaphors that he can never recall in full. He shows incredible tenacity, going to great lengths and even pushing through tremendous pain in his efforts to dispatch his targets.

History

Curse Fleet Arc

When Reg and Nishagora approach the tunnel's end, Gyottsi observes them from a distant hideout. He likens the situation to when a pyromaniac returns to the scene of the crime and remarks for Tepaste to wait for him. As the pair attempt to collect water, Gyottsi shoots Reg with a "Flesh and Bone Warhead," catching him by surprise. Reg is able to spot Gyottsi's position and warns Nishagora in time to block a shot to her head.

The mass Reg is entangled in begins to move upwards, taking him with it. Nishagora attempts to block another shot aimed at her by shielding her head but is instead hit on her ankle. Gyottsi thanks her for being so talented so as to use that against her.

Srajo arrives, having blown her White Whistle to activate Nishagora's released form, and uses Tepaste's Double Pop Blaster to create a smokescreen to block Gyottsi's view. Reg is pulled back into the tunnel and explains the situation to Srajo. As the smokescreen dissipates, Srajo tells Reg to see if the enemy has moved; however, an airflow belt has blocked the area and obstructs his view.

Reg notices an eyeball across from their tunnel. He yells for Srajo and Nishagora to go deeper just as a shot hits him that produces a tremendous blast. Gyottsi is seen bleeding from the eyes due to the recoil. Reg is nearly knocked unconscious and tells the other two about the eye on the opposite side, believing it was used to target him from beyond the airflow belt.

Gyottsi reloads his sniper rifle in preparation for another shot when Sherumi and Menae appear. He observes their resolve but comments that he's not afraid to shoot "brats." The twins are unable to "see" anything through the eye opposite them. Gyottsi then fires again, producing another tremendous blast. Nishagora is able to block most of it, but the twins are sent flying back while Srajo and Reg move to catch them.

Through the gap in the airflow belt, the twins are able to see Gyottsi. Just as he begins to take another shot, his left arm rips apart. He screams in pain, momentarily mixing up his right and left arms, before falling to the floor as his legs are also ripped apart. He pushes through the pain to load another shot, determined to take out his targets. His hideout is then suddenly obliterated by a Tenmaku, and bloody parts of him can be seen in its grasp before it disappears.

Abilities

Sniper Rifle

He wields a long organic sniper rifle, which he keeps propped up in front of him. He appears to be immensely proficient at using it; he can pinpoint a target and shoot with absolute accuracy even from 500 meters away.

Extra Eye

He can use special ammo to fire an extra eye that can stick onto walls. He is able to see through this eye, allowing him to accurately shoot his target even if his natural vision is being obstructed.

Burst Shots

He utilizes special ammo for burst shots, referred to as a "Flesh and Bone Warhead." The "Burst-Donor Hadusa" produces an organic mass upon contact, which tangles up the target before pulling upwards to trigger the Curse. "Burst-Donor Arakabuki" produces an extremely powerful blast upon contact, strong enough to scar Reg's left arm; this ammo appears to cause damage to Gyottsi upon use. He attempts to use the "Burst-Donor Gronze," but is unable to do so before his death.
